Kim Wilde: more than a walking, talking, living doll…

Kim’s both bright, and beautiful – and she’s not afraid to be outspoken… so sit back and listen!

Fashion

I love 50’s clothes. I’d love to be more inventive, but I always end up wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Anyway, I hate the shape of my legs, so I rarely wear skirts. I love poking around second hand stalls and Oxfam shops. I don’t believe in speding lots of money on clothes anyway. Basically, I’m scruffy!

Relaxing

I got walking a lot and love reading. I spend a lot of the time in the garden feeding my goldfish. I built the goldfish pond myself with some help from a few mates of mine.

Looks

My natural hair colour’s pure mouse. I hated looking mousey at art college. My friend dyed hers black, but I thought I’d look too hard, so I did the opposite. Anyway, blondes have more fun!

Boys

I love boys, you know the thrill of the chase and all that. I’m a Scorpio and we’re incredibly passionate people. There’s no one special, I’m just choosy I guess.

Sex Symbol

I’m flattered really, when people think of me as a sex symbol, but its something I’m not really aware of. I don’t see that looking sexy or glamorous is the ultimate in a girl’s life.

Marriage

I don’t think I could love someone for that long and make it work. I fell madly in love with Clint Eastwood, then I woke up one day and decided I hated him. Think how awful it would have been if I’d actually met him and married him! There’s only been about three or four men in my life. The trouble with getting involved with a guy is that it can be a kind of emotional crutch, and when it’s over you’re weaker. Then it takes a hell of a time to rebuild your strength and self-confidence again.
