We’ve plenty to sing about!

At last I can tell you how happy I am… because the charts really are great at the moment!

Wave goodbye to the boring first five years of he decade – the video era is over and music is back again. Splendid hits are dominating the list and we can all get ready for an explosion of tremendous new talent during the next five years. here are my ten personal favourite smashes out of the current British Top 40.

1. BON JOVI – Living on a Prayer. In the middle of his sell out British tour, Jon Bon Jovi is the superstar of the year, and who predicted it first? this marvellous sing-along rock record is No. 7 and deserved to be No. 1.

2. ERASURE – Sometimes. What a telent Vince Clrke has turned out to be. From Yazoo to Erasure ,consistent fabulour British sounds. No. 16 and going up!

3. PETER GABRIEL and KATE BUSH – Don’t give up. Classy brilliance, especially Peter’s vocal on the last verse – No. 9.

4. KIM WILDE – You keep me hangin’ on. Great production, exciting, punchy. At No. 2.
