I'm just Wilde about Calvin!

Kim Wilde ran her hands through her long blonde hair last night and confessed: "I'm head over heels in love for the very first time."
The man who has won her heart - and will break the hearts of millions of her fans - is Calvin Hayes, 27, the drummer with chart stars Johnny Hates Jazz.
Kim, 26, admitted in an exclusive interview: "It is now time to tell the truth. It seems pointless lying any longer. Calvin and I are in love."
Although the couple have been friends for years, Kim's face lit up as she said: "We have fallen for each other totally. I can tell everybody that it's the most wonderful feeling in the world. He is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I have never really liked talking about my love life but there have been so many rumours about me recently that I decided it was best to get it all out in the open."
"I have never been one for naming names because I believe that my private life is my own affair. I hope now that I have admitted it people will stop all the rumours. Calvin and I are desperately in love."
Kim, daughter of Fifties singing idol Marty Wilde, said: "Romances are difficult for someone in my position because my career takes up so much of my time. That is why it is better for me to have relationships with people, like Calvin, who are in the business because they understand just what your life is like. Whoever I go out with has to understand that I spend an awful lot of time away from home."
"The music business is mostly male, so whoever I go out with has to deal with that fact. If a man can't cope with that then I would rarther not go out with him. I am not one of those girls who needs to have a man with me at all times. Calvin and I have a lot of things in common, so we have a good time whenever we are together. We share the same tastes in music, films and TV. But we also have our differences. What couple doesn't? He is a real club person. He loves going out raving, whereas I don't. I prefer just going out for a quiet evening with friends. Most of the people I hang around with I've known since school. I find it hard to make friends with people because I am famous. You never know whether they want to take advantage of you or not."
"I have known Calvin for a long time but it is only in the past few months that we have fallen in love."
"We always got on well, ever since he played drums in my first band seven years ago. And that's why our love affair is stronger than most couples. We KNOW that we have got a lot in common. I think that's why we both know it will last."
Kim and Calvin got together six months ao, shortly after he broke up with Page Three lovely Christine Peake. Just one months ago Kim, whose latest record, Never Trust A Stranger, is at No. 15 in the charts, said: "Calvin and I are just friends. There is no romance."
But last night Kim said: "You can't keep denying things for ever. It was once claimed that I was going to marry Steve Strange and I have been linked with Adam Ant and Rick Astley. But I have only ever had one or two boyfriends."
However, she still says she has no plans for marriage. She said: "To tell you the truth, marriage frightens me to death. The idea of all that commitment just does not appeal to me. My mum had another baby at the age of 45 last year, but that did not make me feel in the least bit broody. I think being a mum is one of the hardest jobs in the world."
Kim's past romances have included musician Gary Barnacle, who now lives with TV-am children's presenter Michaela Strachan.
Kim said: "That was one of my deepest relationships. It lasted a couple of years and we are still friends."
Kim's sexy pop image has its drawbacks. She said: "I know that a lot of men might think I am an easy lay because of the way I look. But there is no way I am. When I released my previous single, 'You came', a lot of people made out it was about sex but it wasn't. It was all about the little baby my brother had recently."
My father's fame made me a rebel
Kim's business affairs are looked after by her dad Marty and her mum Joyce, who sang with top group The Vernon Girls in the Fifties and Sixties. Kim, who has had 14 Top 30 hits, has two homes. She has a luxury apartment in St John's Wood, North London, and a huge barn near her parents' home in Hertfordshire, which she is renovating.
She said: "We are a very close family. My mum and dad mean the world to me. But it was not always like that. I rebelled for a while and left home because I found it hard to deal with the image of Marty Wilde's sexy daughter. Now I feel fantastic about myself."
