Review – Love moves

“Never change a winning team”, Kim must have thought when she went into the studio to record her new album “Love moves”. The follow-up to the hugely successful album “Close” was again produced by brother Ricki, who also wrote nearly all of the music. All in all “Love moves” does not surprise much. The ten easy to listen to compositions are chart material. “Can’t get enough” does not have strong lyrics but is performed with conviction. A more decent content can be found in “In Hollywood”, where Kim aims at the gossipy Hollywood.
A little naive is “World in perfect harmony”. If we would all start being nice to each other, then…..
Kim and Ricki knew that “Close” sold well and decided, because of that, not to change the recipe. It’s a shame, because there can be done so much more with Kims voice.
