Kim Wilde is back with her toyboy lover – ten months after she dumped him for telly star Chris Evans.
The 33-year-old singer has been dating Rupert Kenyon, 24, for more than a month. She first fell for the strapping psychology student on a French skiing holiday in January last year. He cahtted her up at a night club after belting out a send-up version of her hit Kids In America.
But less than a year later, Kim finished the relationship after falling for Evans when they presented Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast together. The affair floundered after two months and Kim is now back in Rupert’s arms. A pal tells me: ‘Kim and Rupert have really picked up where they left off. It’s as if they were never apart. They’ve been spending weekends together and the relationship is very much back on. Kim is thrilled. She feareed that Rupert wouldn’t be interested in her after what happened with Chris. But he is still completely besotted by her.’
Last night Kim, who is busy writing a new album, was not available for comment. But when she first fell for Rupert she said: ‘It’s thanks to him that I have a much more positive attitude to life. Women would do a lot better if they just listened to their instincts – whether the guy is ten years younger or ten years older’.
