Kim Wilde's career is set to blossom again now that she's added strimming to singing with a presenting job on a new gardening show. The pop star will be showing off her green fingers in the upcoming Better Gardens, an eight-part spin-off from Better Homes.
Executive producer Tracy Jeaune predicts great things for Kim but garden expert Dr Stefan Buczacki says: 'I'm frequently confronted by folk who are full of enthusiasm and good teeth but deficient in experience of horticulture'.
ITV says that is unfair: 'Our team went to Capel Manor horticultural school and we were told she was their star pupil.'
Kim, 38, who lives with actor/husband Hal Fowler, took the course while awaiting the birth of their son Harry. Tracy says: 'People won't recognise Kim in her wellies and cowboy hat, and, yes, I presume she'll be wearing a bra.'
Kim's also working on her 11th album, out later this year.
