The real passion of Kim Wilde

Over twenty years since the shining career of a popstar Kim Wilde is now a woman with a radically different life. Married and with two children, the singer found her great passion in gardening.
Who doesn’t remember the 80’s pop star, Kim Wilde? Among other hits, the singles ‘Kids In America’ and ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ (originally from The Supremes) were in another time first places of the tops and nowadays they still playing in our minds.
Twenty years after the singer is no longer a singer and her life is tottaly devoted to gardening – a real expert, can be said.
Married since 1996 with Hal Fowler and having two children, Harry Tristan and Rose Elisabeth, Kim Wilde is now a mature woman who doesn’t hides some vanity when she speaks about her past: ‘I’m still proud of my musical career, very much indeed. I was too young – the right moment to be a pop star.’

‘I wanted so badly to be mother’

The fact is that Kim knew a shining career in the ’80s, but in the 90’s her audience progressively turned away and her life ended with new ways to go: maybe the most unexpected of all was the fact that she has found her husband when in 96 she was taking part in a british musical production called ‘Tommy’. ‘I always knew that one day would found the man that would be my soul mate, I never really expected that it would happen when I was taking part at a West End Musical’, and she said: ‘It was all so quickly… that after my marriage I was certain I would establish a family so soon as possible – I wanted so badly to be mother!’
Along this romantic picture, the singer with the purchase of her actual house, discovered a new interest that suddenly turned into passion: gardening. Then she had studied Gardening Design and in the twinkling of an eue she was spotted into BBC’s programmes GARDEN INVADERS.
But the best was yet to come when after all her devotion and talent were recognised when last year she won a gold medal of The Royal Horticultural Society Tatton Park for her work: ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
