Kim’s wild about school tunnel

Former pop singer turned celebrity gardener Kim Wilde visited a school’s playing field to pick up some tips for her own garden. Kim met pupils at Moss Bury Primary School in Webb Rise, Stevenage, to see their willow tunnel because she wants one for her patch at home.

The tunnel, which acts as a den for children, cost £720 and was bought by the Friends of Moss Bury – the school’s parent association. Headteacher Jon Pickett said: “At the moment the tunnel looks like an igloo made out of twigs. It is meant to encourage the children to use role play and it is somewhere the children can go and play. Kim met the children and spoke to them about how they could use it.”
