As work on the county’s new breast unit edges towards completion, a trio of green-fingered volunteers have turned their attention to the garden.
Vicki Adkins, who spearheaded the campaign to build the new facility at the QE2 Hospital in WGC, got her hands dirty alongside garden designer Val Berry, and former pop star and now gardening guru, Codicote’s Kim Wilde.
They have been working hard in recent weeks to transform the space next to the facility into a peaceful garden for patients to enjoy.
