Kim opens art show

Puplis young and old from an art school had a bit of celebrity help in unveiling their new exhibition.

Pop singer turned TV gardener Kim Wilde opened the ArtsKool show at Campus West in WGC, with two budding young artists from the group – her children Harry and Rosie. The group, founded by artist Annette O’Donnell, gives after-school classes, workshops or parties to inspire confidence and creativity in the area. There are also one-to-one tuition sessions for adults.

The exhibition includes more than 40 works. Several were sold on the night and some artists had commissions.

The exhibition runs until October, with new art work introduced throughout the period. People in the community will have the chance to exhibit their own work created during many of the ArtsKool sessions on offer during the summer. These include drop ‘n shop sessions held in WGC with Welwyn Hatfield Council on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the holidays.
