“Walk of Stars”: Haide has them all

It’s peak period on the Walk of Stars, initiated by media man Alexander Haide in the Vienna Gasometer.

One has to be enterprising in some way, to get Deep Purple, Boney M. and Hansi Hinterseer, worldstars and little local stars. And then to convince them to put hands and feet into into gypsum in order to leave a lasting impression in the Viennese Gasometer.

Certainly Mastermind Alex Haide has a veritable advantage: he was the music boss of the Krone newspaper. He jettet to the stars in this guise and interviewed the biggest names in the business.

Only two days later there was another sensation: the big icon of the eighties, superblonde Kim Wilde, befell the honour. And made her pretty appearance to deliver her prints before her appearance in Planet Music.

And only two days later there was a lot of local colour again: Horst Chmela pressed his hands on the plates and even lost part of his shoe (which might be a gag from the former shoemaker…)

Haide expands at present its Walk activity: beside a free Guide with all information around the current star awards there is also a TV format on transmission. It is broadcast on the ORF section channel TW1. All information in addition you can find on the internet: walk-of-stars.com.
