Kim Wilde live in Erfurt

November 21, 2011 - Just one day after her birthday, Kim Wilde performed live in Erfurt (Germany) at the Traumrock event. She rocked the hall and was rewarded with a cake!

The Traumrock event took place at the Erfurt Messehalle on Saturday night. Kim performed a set of her biggest hits and some covers. Almost more important than that, it was an opportunity for fans to congratulate her on her 51st birthday. A group of fans known as the 'Perfect fans' used the occasion to present Kim with a birthday cake. And it wasn't just any old birthday cake: it featured photographs of them all, around the familiar photograph of Kim on the cover of her latest cd 'Snapshots'.

Two concerts in the Netherlands: bad luck and pleasure

June 19, 2011 - Kim Wilde performed live in Emmen and Hengelo yesterday. Kim and band had to overcome some adversity but it didn't grind them down: both concerts were a triumph.

On the way down from England, there was a severe delay in Belgium, causing the band to arrive in Emmen too late for a soundcheck. Despite this, they managed to play at 2.30 pm for an hour before a very enthusiastic audience. Some time into the song 'Cambodia', Kim fell on stage. The audience gasped for a minute, but then Kim resumed the song, while mentioning afterwards that she had a sore knee. And then of course, there was the weather: playing on an open air stage, even the band became soaking wet. After the gig, Scarlett mentioned via Twitter: 'Soaked to the bone, but still smiling.

Come Out And Play tour ends in Utrecht

March 21, 2011 - Kim Wilde performed the last concert of her Come Out And Play tour in Utrecht, the Netherlands last night in front of a very enthusiastic audience.

The show was the last of three gigs this weekend. On Friday night, Kim performed live at the sold out La Cigale in Paris. It was perhaps the most overwhelming audience response she'd gotten throughout the tour, as the passion of the French erupted and swept over the stage all through the night. A slight change in the setlist had also taken place: instead of a medley of tracks performed by the band after 'Together we belong', the band now played 'Cambodia Reprise' with vocals by Scarlett, followed by 'Can't get enough (of your love)' instead of 'My wish is your command'.
