Wilde Life promotion: 'Wonderful life' & more for £0.75

September 5, 2011 - Kim Wilde covered Black's 'Wonderful life' on her latest album 'Snapshots'. Now you can explore music from the song's original creator for just £0.75.

Black released the compilation 'Any colour you like' today. It's a compilation of music he created after the initial success of his Eighties music drifted away. Black a.k.a. Colin Vearncombe is, of course, best known for 'Wonderful life', released in 1987, but he never stopped making music. His songs were less chart-friendly, but the melodies and beautiful vocals are always there. The 16 track compilation features haunting ballads as well as aggressive rock tracks, and even a new recording of that career-defining hit, 'Wonderful life'.

Scarlett records 'London is dead'

August 13, 2011 - After the riots that shocked London and subsequently the rest of the world, Scarlett wrote 'London is dead' together with her dad Ricky Wilde, and posted it on YouTube on August 9.

The video includes news footage of that weekend. The riots started after a man called Mark Duggan was killed by the police on Thursday in Tottenham. An independent police complaints commission revealed that he didn't actually shoot before he was shot. Then the family was not handled well, which led to a protest which turned to a riot. Then in other places people realised they could riot and loot without being caught, which turned into massive riots of people stealing expensive goods from shops 'because they could'.
