Documentary about 'Kids in America' on Swedish TV

January 25, 2012 - In a series of programmes called 'Hitlåtens historia' ('Hit song history'), SVT in Sweden broadcast a documentary about 'Kids in America' yesterday.

The programme lasted for almost 30 minutes, during which Kim Wilde, Ricky Wilde, Marty Wilde, video director Brian Grant and promotor Allan James all appear for interviews. Ricky and Kim are shown during a visit to the RAK Records building in London, and old footage from the 'First time out' documentary, Top of the Pops and of course the original music video for 'Kids in America' are shown.

Kim does not present the TV show '50 Jahre Pop'

January 19, 2012 - The rescheduled TV show '50 Jahre Pop', due to happen in Leipzig in two weeks, will not be co-presented by Kim Wilde.

The TV show, to be broadcast on 3sat and ZDF, will now take place on February 3 and 4, 2012. According to the official website for the show, the show will be presented by Ingolf Lück and Kim Wilde as originally planned. However, we advise Kim Wilde fans that she isn't confirmed at this point.

50 Jahre pop: not confirmed yet

December 22, 2011 - The German TV show '50 Jahre Pop', which was due to take place in October, has been rescheduled and will now take place in February 2012. With or without Kim Wilde?

The TV show will now take place on February 3 and 4, 2012. According to the official website for the show, the show will be presented by Ingolf Lück and Kim Wilde as originally planned. However, we advise Kim Wilde fans that she isn't confirmed at this point. We will let you know as and when that changes. Watch this space.

Promotion day in Denmark

December 2, 2011 - Kim Wilde spent all day in Denmark yesterday, doing promotion for the album 'Snapshots' which was released in Denmark last week.

After travelling to Copenhagen on Wednesday evening, Kim was driven to a TV studio in the morning to perform two songs at Go' morgen Danmark. The interview and performances were broadcast live. Kim was then transported to Slagelse, where she visited the venue where she performed her first ever live concert on September 10, 1982, and to the home of Danish fan Anders (see picture). Both visits were filmed for the news programme Nyhederne, also broadcast yesterday.

Kim Wilde on Polish TV

November 13, 2011 - After performing live at the Presseball in Stuttgart on Friday night, Kim travelled on to Poland to appear in two national television programmes.

On Saturday night, Kim appeared on stage at The Voice of Poland, the Polish version of the talent show which is syndicated in various countries after considerable success in the Netherlands. She sang 'Sleeping satellite' live to a pre-recorded backing track.

On Sunday, she appeared in the programme Kawa czy herbata, where she was asked about the contestants in 'The Voice of Poland' and of course about her new album 'Snapshots'. She did a lipsynch performance of 'Sleeping satellite'.

Promotion in Switzerland

August 23, 2011 - Kim Wilde did some promotion for her forthcoming album 'Snapshots' in Switzerland. Here's a rundown of her appearances over the weekend.

The promotion tour in Switzerland started on Friday with a visit to Radio DRS 3. Gernot Jörgler interviewed Kim for the radio station, but the interview was also filmed and can already be seen on YouTube. You can find more information - and a full transcript of the interview! - here.

Video premiere of 'Sleeping satellite'

August 3, 2011 - The music video for Kim's new single 'Sleeping satellite' was premiered today.

You can watch the video now exclusively on eventim.de, although it's a matter of time until the same video will appear on other websites as well. The video was directed by Nikolaj Georgiew and filmed at the Kameha hotel in Bonn (Germany). The video features old photographs from Kim's career and childhood, an obvious reference to the title of Kim's forthcoming album 'Snapshots'.

Music video premiere of 'It's alright'

July 28, 2011 - The music video for Kim's new single 'It's alright' was premiered today.

You can watch the video now exclusively on myvideo.de, although it's a matter of time until the same video will appear on other websites as well. The video was directed by Nikolaj Georgiew and filmed at the Kameha hotel in Bonn (Germany).

July 1, 2011 - Kim Wilde was in Bonn yesterday, recording video material for her forthcoming album 'Snapshots'. Some photographs of the day were released on German websites.

During this year, several artists have appeared in the ARD Morgenmagazin to perform a live song. Kim was one of them, appearing in the September 1 edition with 'Lights down low'.
