Kim appears at the Rock-a-Baby concert, to raise money for a Special Baby Care Unit for Hackney Hospital, an area where the incidence of infant mortality is much higher than the National average. Kim appeard with Midge Ure and Jools Holland, and performed three classic Motown songs on her own before returning to close the show with Jools and his 'Big band' with a version of 'Shake rattle & roll'. The concert was one of three whcih took place at the same venue in the course of a week and other artists included Paul Young, Ronnie Wood, Kirsty McColl, Nick Lowe, Dave Gilmour and Frankie Miller.
