Kim Wilde Fan Meeting
Location: Café Riche, Breda (Netherlands)
The first and so far only official Kim Wilde fan meeting was held on Sunday, March 10, 1996 in Breda, Holland. Many fans from a.o. Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and England were present, as well as special guests Melanie Almond and Roxanne Wilde.
The program for the day included a non-stop video presentation, a quiz and an auction, raising a total of 2273 UK pounds for a couple of charities. Part of the money went to a charity fund that battles Friedreich's Ataxia, the rest was divided between some other charity funds. The items included material specially donated by Kim Wilde, such as exclusive photo material, original artwork, signed records, tour jackets and the top item, the dress Kim wore for the cover of the album Love is, which fetched a staggering 900 pounds. The fan meeting was organized by Dutch fans Marcel Rijs and Martin Zandstra, with the cooperation and support from the Fanclub.
