Singer Kim Wilde, daughter of Fifties Rock idol Marty Wilde, has had four records high in the charts this year. But tonight Kim, 21, takes a back seat and watches her mum and dad sing in the Royal Variety Show on television. Kim’s mother is Joyce Baker, one of the singing Vernons Girls before she married Marty in 1959. Keeping up the family’s showbusiness tradition is Kim’s kid brother, Ricky, 19, who writes her songs.
