More like it! Better with the video – I find delight in watching Kim Wilde, and why not? – but on sound alone the young lady is a giantess of modern pop. Kim Wilde’s first four singles, remember them, ‘Kids in America’, ‘Chequered love’, ‘Cambodia’ and ‘View from a bridge’, is the most impressive singles run from anyone, anywhere, since the Sex Pistols, with ‘Anarchy in the UK’, ‘God save the queen’, ‘Pretty vacant’ and ‘Holidays in the sun’. Funny how times change innit?
