Review – Close

Just like its predecessors this album is once again produced by the Wilde family. Kim’s brother Ricki produced ‘Close’ together with Tony Swain, he played keyboards and the computer and composed together writh Kim and Marty nine out of the ten songs.Musically, the Wildes have gone for a moderate, mostly danceable pop sound without too much depth. That is not very original and not new, but contrary to so many of her competitors Kim can always depend on a good voice. And so ‘Close’ sticks out from so many other similar pop productions.

Despite this, some more courage for musical experiments wouldn’t go amiss among the Wilde clan.
