Review – The Singles Collection 1981-1993

When Kim Wilde first burst onto the world of pop way back in 1981 she was following in her family’s footsteps as her dad, Marty Wilde. Now she’s one of Britain’s most successful female pop stars. This catalogue of her fab songs includes You came, You keep me hanging on, If I can’t have you and the one that started it all, Kids in America. It’s all a bit like looking at old photo albums as you remember what you were doing while Kim was churning out the hits! Admittedly, not every track’s a gem, such as the attempt at seriousness with Child come away. Still, how many female singers have been as successful. And it cmes complete with a nice album sleeve full of dodgy old pics of the lass herself – a hoot!
