She is one of the most successful pop icons of the 80s. Thirty years later, Kim Wilde rocks the stage show still as if she has only just made a leap in time and hasn’t become a bit older. However, the British celebrated her 50th Birthday a few months ago. She has become older but also the fans who have taken on the night the way into the Mannheimer Rosengarten to cheer on their pop idol like back in the good old days.
The artist treads the show stairs to come on stage, while the band members enter from the sides. The staircase also seems to be the most important prop in the evening, as both the musicians and Kim Wilde use it regularly, to rock out or to sit down during a small acoustic session.
In just under two hours the British shows the fans one hit after another, without losing a lot of words between the songs. In addition to her own very old hits such as “Chequered Love”, “Second Time” and the shot with Nena song “Anyplace” and the songs from the new album “Come Out and Play” she treats the fans on some covers like Alphaville’s “Forever Young” and” Sleeping Satellite” by Tasmin Archer.
With the addition of “Kids in America” the Rock Lady says goodbye to her fans after an amusing medley of hits from past and present days.
Overall, the live show by Kim Wilde is fast-paced as well as colorful musical fireworks with a journey through the past 30 years of music.
Was supported by the British singer of the band Kellner from Regensburg, who will release their third album already in a few weeks., “The Road Sessions” (release date: 25/03/2011). Their single “The Glow” was released a few days ago and since then rotated at the local radio stations such as “Bayern 3”. Kellner convince with soulful pop songs that invite a temporary means to dream.
