In 1981, at twenty years Kim Smith became a star with Kids in America and remained a star for ten years, an idolized pop princess. Together with her brother Ricky and father Marty she wrote hit after hit, toured with Michael Jackson and David Bowie, got glowing compliments from her childhood idols and danced at the wedding of Rolling Stone Bill Wyman. A decade in the music circus, which, if well taken care of so many colleagues for the loss of traction. Kim, however, shares with her musical family, not just the artist name Wilde, but also inherits the professional setting. She is not for fame and parties. Although Kim was a little girl absolutely determined to emulate their idols as Debbie Harry, Kirsty MacColl and Abba, but her real dream is to live it to the music. For Kim pop is actually a career.

Since her comeback Kim Wilde is focused even more on live performances with her band and cover versions are often integrated into their program. The euphoric response they got finally moved her to fill an entire album of covers. After more than three decades in the business, eleven albums and over thirty singles is the perfect time for a personal review: Kim Wilde appears confident and relaxed on a journey into her past and makes her audience to a unique gift. With Snapshots, she resurrects the old classics – lovingly arranged and masterfully interpreted –  in order to celebrate with her fans.
