Kim Compiled Yet Again

""
February 1, 1997 - For the fifth time in two years, EMI have released a compilation. Through their label Disky, a 3 CD set called "Best of Kim Wilde" has been released, apparently near the end of 1996.

The three discs, all of them picture discs, each contain 6 tracks, and comprise the albums "Kim Wilde" and "Select", excluding the tracks "Tuning in tuning on", "Ego" and the Reprise of "Cambodia".

Four previous compilations included "The Gold Collection" (with two different sleeves), "The best of Kim Wilde" and the 3CD box set of Kim's first three albums.

Apparently EMI can still not comprehend that a release of "Catch as catch can" on one separate CD - preferably without the mastering errors in the currently available version of the album in the box set - would be much more interesting for the fans. The editor of these pages is wondering what purpose EMI is serving with the release of five compilations within two years.
