It's official: Kim Wilde is Divine

November 22, 2000 - The list of Kim Wilde compilation albums is always growing. After the release of a Kim Wilde CD in the "Best of the 80's" series back in August this year, EMI releases "The Divine Kim Wilde" this month. This time, it's not a re-packaging of a previously released compilation but actually a new compilation.

For the first time, a Kim Wilde CD is released by the EMI Plus label. According to the sleeve, EMI Plus is an affiliate of Disky Communications. Disky is of course renowned for releasing four Kim Wilde compilations over the past five years.

EMI Plus specializes in releasing series of CD's, of which "The Divine" is a series focused on female solo singles. In the same series, discs for Kim Carnes, Pat Benatar, Sheena Easton and Stevie Nicks have been released. A website for EMI Plus is located on the URL www.emiplus.nl .

"The divine" is the 20th compilation album made from the 39 tracks Kim has released for EMI. Information about this disc can be found in the Kim Wilde Discography on this site.

The CD is already being auctioned on ebay.com, the worldwide auctioning site. The item has already fetched more than $50. For a lot less, the disc can be ordered at www.towerrecords.co.uk and at www.proxis.be.
