Japanese "Catch" CD sells for $125,50

Each time the rare "Catch as catch can" CD, released in Japan in 1983, pops up on the worldwide auction site Ebay, it is sure to attract some serious Kim Wilde fans. Late last year, the disc fetched a staggering amount of $405. This month's auction can be considered a bit of an anticlimax as it only fetched $125,50, which still is a good price for a CD.

The bid history of the item is surprising as well: five different fans offered amounts of over $100, and all of them minus one did so in the first two days of the auction. The one who came last also ended up winning the auction on the last day.

So who is the proud winner this time? I'm happy to announce that it's Marcel Rijs, also known as the webmaster of this site. My own copy of the same title was entered into Ebay, and fetched $81. Not bad, for a rather damaged (ex-library) copy showing some extreme wear and tear.
