Another Disky compilation
In 1996, EMI released "The gold collection" a.k.a "Greatest hits" in the UK. It was a compilation of Kim's first two albums for EMI, with the strange omission of the hit single "Cambodia". Strange, because the song was included on Kim's second album, and because the reprise of that song was included.
Shortly thereafter, Dutch division Disky released "The best of Kim Wilde", a different name for the same compilation. In 2000, this was re-released as part of the "Best of the 80's" series.
Now it appears that in the mean time, Disky Special Products has released the compilation as "The best of Kim Wilde" in their "The best collection" series in 1999. The disc has been sold in Belgium previously, but turned up in the Netherlands, in Dutch department stores, only in 2001. At 6 guilders (£2), it's the cheapest Kim Wilde CD ever sold.
It's also the 22nd compilation CD of Kim's 3 albums she recorded for EMI!
Complete factual information about this album can be found in the Kim Wilde Discography on this site.
