Kim collects a giant tree in Belgium
February 4, 2001 - Kim Wilde has visited Belgium to assist in a bid for the Guinness book of records. On January 16, she visited Aarschot to go to Arbor, the largest tree nursery in Belgium. She helped loading the Largest Tree that has been transplanted in the world.
Kim said about this occasion: "I am mainly there to raise the profile of this happening, plus I get to look around in this tree nursery and hopefully I will be learning from that."
The tree is brought to a newly built village called Winwick Park in Warrington, near Liverpool. The tree is no less than 18,5 metres in height and weighs in at 7 tons.
It was not just a sightseeing trip for Kim: on the ferry towards and from the event, she was working on a garden design for a horticultural show in July this year.
