The booklet of the CD comes with some copy from Kim. It reads as follows:-
When someone asked me how I felt when Kids In America launched my career in '81, I said "Great, now at last I've got a job". Possessing the usual naivety of most twenty year olds, I had an unfaltering belief that this would be no "One Hit Wonder". A large part of that confidence came from having a brother, Ricki, and father, Marty, who had recently developed a unique songwriting partnership which would capture the sound of the decade. My parents, Joyce and Marty Wilde, had been in the business all their lives and, together with Mickie Most, the scene was set for a punky art student to take centre stage.Of course, there were no guarantees and my career saw lows as well as highs. Eventually I learned to see both success and failure for the imposters they are, and embraced them in turn. This album is a tribute to my Mum and Dad, Rick, Nick, our families and all the Big M Crew. My love and thanks to you all for sharing it all with such panache. My love and thanks, too, to Mickie Most, RAK, EMI, Universal and, of course, the fans.Last, but not least, my love to Hal and our adorable children, Harry & Rose, who have made it all make sense.May the Gods of Rock'n'Roll keep shining on us all!!
love Kim
