Kim Wilde bra fetches £200
January 16, 2002 - HertBeat FM, broadcasting to North East Hertfordshire, hosted an auction of one of Kim's bras on Monday, November 12th, 2001. All the money went towards Imperial Cancer Research, and Kim has kindly donated the bra for this cause. The piece of underwear fetched £200 at the auction and was paid by Nic Sales, who came to the offices of HertBeat to collect his prize.
It's not the first time that Kim has donated a piece for an auction. Two previous occasions were documented by KimWilde.com. In 1992, Kim donated a mini dress for an auction organised by Dutch TV-station Veronica. The starting bid was 700 guilders, roughly some £200. The end result is unfortunately unknown.
Another item that was sold through a charity shop was a denim jacket, signed by Kim on the inside.
The current record for any Kim Wilde item that was auctioned was set in 1996 during the first ever Kim Wilde Fan Meeting. The dress that Kim wore for the cover of the album "Love is" was auctioned there. The winner ended up having to pay £910 for it.
