Pop journalist Jip Golsteijn (56) dies

In the night of Thursday, February 21st, Dutch pop journalist Jip Golsteijn died of a heart attack in his hometown Amsterdam. Golsteijn has done interviews with nearly every pop star imaginable, including Kim Wilde.
According to an interview with Jip in 1997, Kim went to a cafe with him after an interview in the Amsterdam Marriott hotel. After a few hours, she insisted on coming home with him. She went to sleep in his daughter Trix's room. rix, who happened to be a Kim Wilde fan, couldn't believe that her big idol was there when she woke up...
His book 'Kogels in de brievenbus' ('Bullets in the mailbox'), released in 1991, contains an interview with Kim from 1990. Jip's contributions to Dutch pop journalism will be sorely missed.
