Nena & Kim Wilde take Europe
The single was released in the Netherlands on August 4 and has gotten to no. 1 in October. It was Nena's second number 1 in this country, 20 years after "99 Luftballons", whereas it's Kim's first Dutch no. 1.
In Belgium, the single was released in October and it has only just missed number 1 in the Ultratop 50 in the Flemish part of the country.
Meanwhile, the single has already been a chart success in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where the single was released on May 19.
It's a big success for both artists. Kim Wilde has been out of the charts in most countries since 1993's "If I can't have you", whereas Nena's previous albums have had considerably less success than 2002's platinum-selling album "Nena feat. Nena". "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime" is the fourth single off this album.
