Kim live at Würth Open Air

""
June 22, 2004 - On June 20, 2004 Kim Wilde played live before an audience of a few thousand at the Würth Open Air festival in Gaisbach, Germany. The venue was a stage set up on an industry terrain.

The concert started at 18.00 with the well-known sixties band Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich. Almost at the same time, the weather which had been pretty good all day changed and it started to rain. It was unfortunate enough because the five guys did a very great show. Playing most of their own hits plus a few others (amongst which a very impressive acapella rendition of a Beatles track) they managed to warm up the crowd eventually and even get the sun shining again after three quarters of an hour.

It was 19.30 when Kim took to the stage. By then, the sun had reappeared in its full glory. Kim, dressed in her dark brown leather stage suit, and for the first two songs in an armycoat, played an impressive and playful set of fourteen songs: Chequered love, View from a bridge, Never trust a stranger, Cambodia, If I can't have you, Love blonde, Water on glass, You came, Four letter word, Love is holy, You keep me hangin' on and an encore consisting of Real wild child, Anyplace anywhere anytime and of course Kids in America. For the first time in a long time, Ricki was not present on stage as he was attending a wedding somewhere in the UK.

The international crowd (fans from Denmark, France, Germany and the Netherlands were present) greeted every song with enthusiasm and sometimes outright screaming.

Kim's performance was followed by a performance by Bonnie Tyler, which lasted for about 90 minutes.
