Kim Wilde recycled
September 10, 2004 - Kim Wilde will promote recycling and waste awareness at a special open day in Cambridge. The star, who found fame in the 1980s with hits such as Kids in America and You Keep Me Hanging On, will appear at the Waste Management Park, near Waterbeach, on Saturday, September 18.
Sabina Sanzio from The Dickerson Group, which runs the park, said: "We are very grateful for Kim's support and are happy that she will be here to promote recycling awareness."
Entry to the park is free from 10am-4pm and visitors will be given a guided tour to see how more than 200,000 tonnes of waste are processed or recycled each year.
Vehicles and equipment used in the process will be on show with an exhibition of information about the waste management industry.
