Tour message from Kim Wilde
Sitting here in Manchester, midway through the tour. Audiences have been as enthusiastic as ever, if a little smaller in numbers from previous outings. I enjoy singing live and chatting with the other acts, especially Mike Nolan from Bucks Fizz who makes me giggle a lot, and is like a ray of sunshine. 2004 has been a busy year for me with writing my first book 'Gardening For Children', as well as music festivals and garden shows in the summer. It's an odd mix of activities that's for sure, one minute designing gardens, the next squeezing into my leather pants! In fact in Birmingham I was doing just that as Richard Lucas, friend and gardener, pitched up with the planting plans we're submitting to the RHS for Chelsea Flower Show 2005, and we worked on that for an hour in my dressing room! I'm often asked about any plans for recording some new songs, and there is a possibility that I could be recording again in 2005. Of course Marcel will be the first to know of any developements in that respect. Tonight we travel south for Wembley, Plymouth and Brighton, then home for Christmas and two very excited children. I wish you all a very happy Christmas, take good care of yourselves, and thankyou all for still making this 80's Gardener Chick feel like a million dollars in the 21st C!
