Kim Wilde rocks Aalst after midnight!

""
August 21, 2005 - Kim Wilde played at Belfortrock in Aalst (Belgium) last night before a very excited audience. Although it was a few minutes after midnight when Kim started, the audience seemed to be as energetic as when the festival had started - five hours earlier.

Kim took to the stage after a 90 minute set from the popular Belgian band Clouseau. Before them, the Garons Debilles, Angelina Kievskaya and Les Truttes had already played live as well. Kim had no problem winning the audience over: she started with the familiar tones of Chequered love and Never trust a stranger and with that, everybody was ready to rock 'n' roll from the VIP front rows to the very back of the Grote Markt, where the concert was taking place.

One of the highlights of the concert was hearing 'Loved' live for the first time ever. The track was rehearsed last week in London but tonight it seemed like the band was as familiar with the track as they were with the other thirteen tracks they played.

A rock edge to the gig was added by playing 'Water on glass' and 'Real wild child'. The only mellow point of the night was the beautiful ballad 'Four letter word', which really seemed to please the audience.
It was 1.20 am when Kim finished with one encore song, 'Kids in America' of course. As always, this went down a treat as well. After receiving bunches of flowers and doing a few interviews for local media, Kim headed back to the hotel for a well-earned rest.
