25th anniversary of Kids in America
January 26, 2006 - Kim Wilde's debut single 'Kids in America' was released on January 26, 1981, exactly 25 years ago today. To celebrate this fact, kimwilde.com presents a full history of the song in a special web expo.
The 'Kids in America' web expo was originally presented last year, but today it is relaunched and slightly expanded. It contains information about the song as told by its writers Ricky Wilde and Marty Wilde, as well as Kim Wilde herself. You can also look at video stills taken from the 1981 promo video and listen to many sound files of the original song, the remixes and some of the many cover versions!
