Kim Wilde brings good luck to domino world record

""
November 17, 2006 - At 9pm tonight, Kim Wilde toppled the first stone for this year's attempt to break the domino world record. Her influence proved to be a lucky one: the record was broken!

Earlier in the evening, Kim had performed 'Together we belong' on Dutch television. The international broadcast started a few minutes before 9pm, in which Kim confessed to not having heard of these world record attempts before. She did know about it now and was in awe of the builders who had worked for two months to make this attempt happen.

Kim pushed the first stone at 9pm, and after a painfully slow start, two hours of falling stones went by.

As the amount of fallen stones was being determined by a notary, Kim performed her new single 'Perfect girl' for an international audience.

The conclusion was a happy one: the world record was broken. The new record now stands at 4.079.381, some 77.000 more than last year's record.
