Kim Wilde records Jammin' for BBC Radio

""
May 3, 2006 - Kim Wilde recorded a few songs for the radio show Jammin' last night. A short impression of what took place...

The radio show is largely based around presenter/comedian Rowland Rivron. Kim sang a few songs: after her introduction she started with a few lines of 'Let Me Entertain You' (Robbie Williams). Then in "Guess the Bass Line" a few bars of 'When Will I be Loved' (The Everly Brothers), followed by 'My coo ca choo' (Alvin Stardust). She also did a hymn from the Nativity play as "Mary", a cockney pub song in the style of a sultry 'Marilyn Monroe', and a hilarious version of 'Kids In America' with key lyrics exchanged for funny words courtesy of the band - all in the jam freestyle sound.

After the show, Kim was rushed with autograph hunters and fans. Despite being a little overwhelmed, she did talk to some of the people there.
Recording of the new album is progressing at the moment. Kim commented on this, saying: "It's out at the end of the year in Germany - with a single out in summer time. And it's a couple of old songs reworked with new ones too. It's funky, and back to the sound of we used in the beginning with a band and guitars, but better! - even though first time round was good too..."
