Special Dutch cover version of 'Kids in America'!
January 26, 2006 - To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of 'Kids in America', the new Dutch trio '25 Idiots in a box' have recorded a cover version of the song in Dutch. An exclusive demo version can be downloaded from kimwilde.com.
The song is called 'Kids in het lage land' ('Kids in the Netherlands') and the version available here is the first demo of what will become a full cd-single later in the year. The group '25 Idiots in a box' was founded especially for the jubilee by Martin Zandstra, Ramona de Roij and Marcel Rijs. They felt it was time for a Dutch version of the song after there were already three Finnish versions of it, released commercially with varying amounts of success.
Martin played acoustic guitar, Casio VL-1 keyboard, Yamaha bass guitar and Juno 60 synth. Ramona and Marcel did the vocals. The track was produced and arranged by Martin Zandstra and Pieter Kop.
