Den Atelier, Luxemburg: grand finale

""
March 12, 2007 - Yesterday evening Kim Wilde performed live at Den Atelier in Luxemburg in the last of nine full length concerts within three weeks.

'Je suis ravie d'être ici ce soir!', said Kim in perfect French to the audience in the sold out Atelier, before launching into 'Baby obey me', the fourth song of the setlist.

The layout of the venue is notably different from most others, because the stage is located in one corner of the square hall. It had a good effect on the sound of the performance. It also created a sense of intimacy for the approximately 1500 people present.

Having performed live nine times, and getting better every night, the band and Kim did their utmost to make this a grand finale. They succeeded: audience response to 'Chasing cars', 'You keep me hangin' on' and 'Enjoy the silence' was deafening. Ricky, 'the legend', was also greeted with a thunderous applause. And finally, when Scarlett took to the stage for the encore, the audience was equally appreciative.

Of course, this is not really the end. In less than two weeks, Kim and her band will appear live in Slovakia, and festival dates in the Summer will also take place. But for now, Luxemburg was a great ending to a European tour.
