Fanclub magazines 1989-1995 online!

""
October 29, 2007 - Wilde Life is putting all the fanclub magazines (1981-1997) online. In the penultimate installment: the fanclub magazines from 1989 to 1995.

The Christmas 1989 is the thinnest of all magazines, spanning only eight pages. It was published at the end of a very quiet year for Kim, after the rush of the success of 'Close'. In 1990, Kim returned with 'Love moves', but in the same year some changes were made to the fanclub.

In the summer of 1990 the quarterly magazines were replaced with newsletters (which are not included in this digitization project - something for the future, perhaps?), complemented with annual Christmas magazines. Spanning 16 pages each, these magazines were excellently produced, although they didn't contain too much surprises anymore.

The Christmas 1994 magazine didn't appear until February 1995. It would be the last magazine produced by Edwina Smith, who had spent over a decade working for the fanclub. During 1995, Melanie Almond took over. Her output will be presented next month, in the final part of Wilde Life's digitization of the fanclub magazines.
