Hot Stewards cover 'Kids in America'
May 8, 2007 - The rock/disco/house/powerpop band Hot Stewards have recorded a cover version of Kim Wilde's debut hit, 'Kids in America'.
The band consists of members hailing from Holland, Denmark and Germany and specialise in recording rather camp and rock versions of the best eighties songs. They debuted in 2005 with a version of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown boy'.
On their new album 'Cover up', released this year, they play versions of Wham's 'Edge of heaven', Rick Astley's 'Never gonna give you up' and of course Kim Wilde's 'Kids in America'.
You can hear a snippet of the latter on this page. For more information, visit the band's Myspace.com webpage and their Website.
The cd can be ordered on bol.com.
