Kim briefly at Opernball in Frankfurt

""
February 25, 2007 - The Opernball, which took place in Frankfurt yesterday, was plagued by mishaps, both inside and outside of the venue. Kim fell victim to technical problems.

Outside, a demonstation took place. After a slow start it ended in flying pavestones and bottles, wounded passers-by and policemen and a near-traffic collapse in the inner city of Frankfurt.

Inside, the Opernball, presented by Brigitte Nielsen, started as planned nonetheless. Highlight of the programme would have been Kim Wilde, but unfortunately, the technical state of things inside the Alte Oper was abysmal.

Kim and her band tried to improvise by playing 'Four letter word' for the audience, but were rewarded with an electric shock. Understandably, the performance was stopped after this.
The Opernball was described widely in the German media, with many of them making reference to Kim's short appearance. Predictably, the organisation of the Opernball has so far declined to comment.
