Kulturbrauerei, Berlin: absolutely flawless

""
March 8, 2007 - The last gig of the German tour took place in Berlin last night, and no-one could have asked for a better ending: this gig was perfect.

The PA played, amongst other songs, 'Flawless' by The Ones before the concert in Berlin started, and it might have been a statement of intent for this gig.

Kim Wilde appeared on stage wearing her sexiest outfit yet, whereas the band seemed determined to iron out any small detail that had gone wrong during previous nights. The result: a gig that was absolutely flawless.

The Berlin audience was a tough one, because they were very hard to win over. In the end, they had to give in: there was no resisting the cool charm of 'View from a bridge', the goosebumps-inducing 'Chasing cars' and the bouncing version of 'Together we belong'. And if that didn't help, there was always 'You keep me hangin' on', 'Anyplace anywhere anytime', and, during the encore, the immortal 'Kids in America' to get everyone in the mood.

Everyone on stage may have been tired from four nights on the road, but there was no way of knowing. This year's Berlin gig may have been one of Kim's best ever.
