Vega, Copenhagen: great response

""
February 25, 2007 - Kim Wilde performed live at Vega, Copenhagen (Denmark) last night. The Danish audience was obviously very happy to see Kim again!

During her performance, Kim made a reference to her very first gig (which took place in Slagelse on September 10, 1982). The setlist was slightly shorter than usual, excluding 'Stone' and 'Anyplace, anywhere, anytime', and reversing the order of the first two songs. The result was a more dynamic set which took off right from the very first tones of 'Chequered love'. The audience was up for it, the band was up for it, and of course Kim was up for it! Whereas the concert in Amsterdam was fun because of some comedy moments, this one was fun because of the sheer playing pleasure of everyone on stage. Kim sang beautiful versions of 'You'll never be so wrong' and 'Tuning in tuning on', two old songs that seem to get better with every gig. The newer songs also went down well: 'I fly' and 'Game over' were responsible for a surefire audience response right up to the back rows on the balcony. During 'Cambodia', the audience started singing the chorus right before Kim wanted to sing the last verse of the song. It confused her a bit but she enjoyed it nonetheless. After the show, a short meet and greet was organised. Because of the rain Kim didn't step out, but the fans were let in backstage to collect autographs and photographs. The audience consisted of many nationalities: Danish, Swedish and even Portuguese fans were spotted! Kim and her band are heading home today, with the next gig taking place on March 4.
