'Kids in America' covered for charity
May 8, 2008 - On August 2, 2007, Kim Wilde met Maria-Louise, a 10 year old blind girl at the Langelandsfestival in Denmark. Her cover of 'Kids in America' is now raising money for charity.
Maria-Louise has been performing live with Tom Duke for three years. One of the songs in their repertoire is the track 'Kids in America', and the audiences always love it.
Under the guise of Tom Duke & Grønærten, they have recently released a cd-single with four tracks. One of the tracks on this single is 'Kids in America'. All money from the sales will be donated to blind children in Africa, through the Danish Blind Society (Dansk Blinde Samfund).
There is a report on Maria-Louise's meeting at the Langelandfestival in Denmark last year on this website. You can hear clips from the cd-single on this page. (Both pages are in Danish.)
