Kim Wilde adopts a word

""
October 29, 2008 - Kim Wilde is one of many celebrities who have adopted a word for Christmas, an I Can charity initiative in cooperation with Collins.

I Can have teamed with Collins to offer people the opportunity to own part of the English language, the proceeds going to help children with speech, language and communication needs. From just £20 supporters can adopt a word to keep for a year, and adopters will also receive a gift pack including a certificate and an aftercare advice booklet.

Kim Wilde has adopted, not so surprisingly, the word 'flower'. She says: "Flower is an anagram of my married name, Fowler – and, of course, my daughter is called Rose – a flower is one of nature’s best performances!"
