Kim Wilde presents London Hero award
November 6, 2009 - The London Hero award was presented by Kim Wilde at the BT Visit London People's Choice Awards 2009 last night. The lucky winner was Emma de Souza.
Emma de Souza has committed to Kids Week, the annual children's theatre initiative which encourages young people to enjoy the magic of the London's theatre. This year, her son was seriously ill and being treated at Great Ormond Hospital. Emma decided to use Kids Week 2009 to raise money and awareness for the Great Ormond Street Hospital's Theatres for Theatres Appeal (www.gosh.org).
Kim Wilde presented the award to Emma de Souza during a gala night at Westfield London. The London Hero award is sponsored by Magic 105.4, a radio station in London where Kim is one of the presenters.
