Website kimwildegardens.com closes down
Kimwildegardens.com started on April 4, 2006. It was, ironically, at a time when Kim was starting to focus on music more than she had done during the preceding decade. In 2005, she had been awarded a gold medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with the Cumbrian Fellside Garden, and more gardening project still seemed to be underway.
Over the past few years, though, Kim has devoted herself almost exclusively to music. The website kimwildegardens.com was becoming less dynamic every year and so the decision was made recently to stop the website.
Of course, almost all of the information on the website will still be available. The information about Kim's gardens can now be found in the Encyclopedia here on Wilde Life, via the page Gardens. The articles which Kim wrote about gardening between 2002 and 2008 are all added to the Articles section here on Wilde Life. Information about Kim's books and media was always on Wilde Life to begin with and the beautiful black and white photography by Katrien Vercaigne, used in the navigation and biography page on kimwildegardens.com can now be found in the 2005 Gallery.
The website kimwildegardens.com was designed by Katrien Vercaigne and Marcel Rijs. As far as we know, it was the first gardening website to use almost exclusively black and white photography. If you want to visit the website, you can still do so until the end of this month. Of course, if Kim decides to turn her attention to gardening professionally once more, you may see the comeback of the domain someday!
