Kim joins Status Quo and Roy Wood on UK tour

""
May 7, 2011 - The rock band Status Quo are doing their first arena tour in the UK in years and have asked Kim Wilde to be their special guest. She and Roy Wood will tour with Quo in December.

Status Quo are best known for their hits 'Down down (deeper and down)' and 'What you're proposing' from the Eighties. One of their first hits, 'Ice in the sun' (1968), was actually written by Kim's father Marty. They have consistently been releasing albums since then, and their new album 'Quid pro Quo' is out later this month.

The band is doing an arena tour in the UK in December, with two special guests: Roy Wood (who both solo and with his band Wizzard had his biggest successes in the Seventies) and Kim Wilde. Both Roy Wood and Status Quo are heroes of Kim and so she was delighted to be invited. It promises to be a series of all out rock nights.
